Hamilton Bryant is a Secretary of Interior qualified archaeologist and a member of the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA). He has over 15 years of experience working in both academia and the cultural resource management industry in the southeastern United States. Hamilton received his B.A. in Anthropology from Auburn University in 2011 and later earned a M.A. in Anthropology with a focus on precontact archaeology in the Southeast from the University of Mississippi in 2019.

Before joining Wiregrass full time, Hamilton was a graduate research assistant at the University of Mississippi. At Ole Miss he participated in Phase I surveys with the Center for Archaeological Research at the university, and he worked short term Phase I and II projects in Alabama and Mississippi for various CRM firms. In his hometown of Auburn, Alabama, Hamilton worked closely with Dr. John W. Cottier on research, teaching, and contract projects throughout Alabama. He has experience with archaeological monitoring, Phase I survey, Phase II site evaluation, and Phase III mitigation and data recovery projects. Although he is reluctant to limit his research interests, they include the myriad ways humans interact with the environment, non-site archaeology, and GIS applications in archaeology.  Outside of work, Hamilton enjoys spending time with his son and partner, their pets, his friends, and the Disco Biscuits.
